Willard Ryan

  • ... that Willard Ryan was the first head coach of the Green Bay Packers, even though the team claims Curly Lambeau was actually the first? Source: "The paper found that local high school coach Willard Ryan coached the Packers as a semipro team in 1919" and "Packers president Bob Harlan said the team has no intention of diminishing Lambeau's legacy by recognizing" earlier coaches. • New enough, long enough, sourcing checks out and is present in article and cited. No textual issues. QPQ present. Green Bay gonna Green Bay... Gonzo fan 2007, thoughts about running this either as the second set on 1/19 or the first set on 1/20 (which UTC would put it up in the first quarter of the NFC title game) unless another Packers-themed article is being set to run? • Thanks Raymie! I would support the article going up on the Main Page in either one of those two slots (probably prefer the 1/20 slot, if it were my choice). « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:10, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
