Wilfrid Oulton edit

5x expanded by Hawkeye7 (talk). Self-nominated at 00:48, 2 September 2017 (UTC).

  • Hawkeye7 5x expanded, in time, long enough, sourced, hook checks out, QPQ accepted. However, shouldn't it be three U-boats? It sounds as if he sank two himself and helped with the sinking of a third, and the London Gazette says the award was for the trifecta. I would rephrase to incorporate the third, possibly just changing "two" to "three" (even one of the sources says he was "[a]warded his DSO for sinking three U-boats in one month during May 1943," and then clarifies that two were solo and one was shared).
As a non-DYK suggestion, I would break "Biography" into sub-sections. --Usernameunique (talk) 01:08, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
Oops, you're right. Changed to "three". And I've broken the biography up into four sections. Hawkeye7 (talk) 03:57, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks Hawkeye7. Article looks much better now. --Usernameunique (talk) 16:30, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
