Wellington Mounted Rifles Regiment
edit- ... that the Wellington Mounted Rifles Regiment (gun team pictured) had an establishment of 549 men, but suffered 640 casualties in the fighting at Gallipoli?
- Comment: Establishment figure is start of second paragraph. Casualties at Gallipolli is last sentence of "Evacuation" section.

- Article promoted on 6 February, long enough. Hook fine. AGF on offline source (half of the source is online and checks out). I note thaat a Mounted Rifles Regiment was like a light horse regiment in that it was organised like a cavalry regiment (3 squadrons, not 8 companies) but trained to fight like infantry. It is only slightly larger than the 536-strong light horse regiment, which tells us that it was organised on NZ TOEs and not Australian or UK ones. Picture checks out, licence okay, although hard to make out small. (Also, they didn't have the Hotchkiss on Gallipoli.) No QPQ required, but Jim should do one anyway. Article should be nominated for ACR. Good to go. Hawkeye7 (talk) 11:03, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
