Russell L. Blaisdell edit

  • ... that Russell L. Blaisdell organized the evacuation of almost 1000 orphans from Seoul on 20 December 1950 in Operation Kiddy Car but received no official recognition for over 50 years?

  • Article is new and long enough. No references at all are provided for the section "Early life and education", the last paragraphs of sections "USAF career", "Later life", "Post Korean War" and "Awards and honors". The section "Personal life" is without content and can be removed. "Duplication Detector" finds close paraphrasing with ref #2, #5 and #7. Please add refs and reword accordingly. Hook is interesting and its legth is within limits. Hook fact is not fully referenced, ıncluding "1000 orphans". Hook fact "official recognation" is not existent verbatim in the article as it is not clear whether the honorary doctorate was for that. No QPQ was done. I will approve the nomination as soon as the above problems have been resolved. --CeeGee 11:09, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the comments, I was interested to see what the DYK process entailed, but I have higher priority projects than trying to push this through DYK.Mztourist (talk) 03:21, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
