- The article was created from scratch on September 8, and is therefore new enough. With 1529 characters, its prose section is also long enough. The photo, which is the nominator's own work, is very clear in small format and is copyright free. The tone of the entire article is properly neutral and there is no issue with plagiarism or close paraphrasing. The short-enough hook is clearly referenced to a French-language source.
Still, a few claims would require clarification before this can be passed. For one, "the league championship" is vague. The article cited in note 5 states that Lalonde's team won "the Canadian championship" ("le Championnat canadien"). Is there really a Canada-wide league, or was this a meeting between the champions of several provincial leagues? The last two sentences — "In June 2016, she was named as part of the side for the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro. At 19, she was the youngest player on the side." — sound a bit repetitive, especially in the use of "the side". The second-to-last sentence should definitely specify what "side" she has been named to: presumably the Canadian paralympic basketball team, right? - I've tightened the wording a bit to remove ambiguity. They don't have a national wheelchair basketball competition in Canada like we do in Australia. The Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL) Women’s National Championship takes place annually when the top competitive women’s club teams in the country compete for the national title.
