  • "The celebrant" sounds like it's referring to Priscilla Duffield. Do you mean "the host"? Yoninah (talk) 23:07, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
    • No, I don't mean that at all. In Australia, a celebrant is someone who conducts weddings. According to the article on marriage officiant, In the United States, Canada and many other countries around the world, a celebrant is a person who performs religious or secular celebrancy services for weddings. How about:
      • ALT1: ... that security considerations forbade the judge performing Priscilla Duffield's marriage from knowing the surnames of the bride and groom? Hawkeye7 (talk) 02:05, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
  • Moved to mainspace on 14 October, long enough, sufficiently referenced. No close paraphrasing seen from the online sources, but most are books so AGF. The hook's source is also offline. I struck the original since "celebrant" may not be understood by a wide audience (it's the term I'd use, but I'm also Australian). QPQ is done so good to go! 97198 (talk) 05:30, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
Good thing we didn't go with the "celebrant" hook, because some ignoramus would pull it from the main page thinking it was dirty or something. Wikipedia_talk:Did_you_know#When_the_humor-impaired_become_admins EEng (talk) 05:59, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
