John William Alexander O'Brien edit

  • ... that John O'Brien presided over the military court that tried and acquitted Japanese Admiral Soemu Toyoda? Source: " An Allied War Crimes Tribunal yesterday dismissed all charges against Admiral Soemu Toyoda, who, during the war, commanded the Japanese Navy. Toyoda was the last top level Japanese to be tried in the Far East, and the only one to be wholly acquitted. His trial lasted nearly 11 months. The seven-man tribunal was headed by Australian Brigadier John O'Brien." [1]
