  • An interesting article and subject! Length and date are fine, article meets all policies, hook fact is sourced in article, checks out in source, and QPQ has been done. No copyvio issues, image is claimed as PD (and can probably be uploaded to commons). Could be some other interesting alts in there too if desired, along the lines of how it was a retirement gift to Sousa, that he used it to conduct his last pieces for the band, or that the baton is now the symbol of the command (albeit that's implied in the original). One thing I am curious about, I'm not sure what the see also connection is with the Sword of State of South Carolina, beyond being another piece of regalia I suppose?
