Jimmy the raven

edit

Moved to mainspace by Crow (talk). Self nominated at 23:39, 16 August 2014 (UTC).

  • Just for clarification, his first Capra film was You Can't Take It With You. CrowTalk 15:42, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

New enough; long enough; no copyvio, close-paraphrasing or plagiarism in the sources I can check; neutral; QPQ done; cited; hooks cited apart from part of ALT2A (Frank Capra made films until the early 1960s, so if Jimmy's last film was in 1954 he wasn't in every Capra film after You Can't Take It With You). If that is corrected and hook fiddled with then this will be ready with any of the hooks (otherwise original or ALT1). Belle (talk) 11:53, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Maybe they stuffed him and nailed him to a pole and jiggled him around while a ventriloquist delivered his lines. "Squawk! Caw! Caw!"
Why would they do that to Frank Capra? Belle (talk) 16:38, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
I am trying to reconcile the discrepancy around the Capra/Jimmy filmography. Every source I can find from after Capra's time says "all films..." CrowTalk 16:22, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
If B is to be the one, given the above discrepancy, perhaps using Wonderful Life instead of Can't Take It, as the former is better known? Does the hook have to have the exact article name (I've seen some that don't)? If not, perhaps:
  • ALT3 ... that the crow that landed on the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz was actually a raven named Jimmy?
Since Wizard is much more well known. I still think the first choice is most intriguing, unless its form is not preferable here. CrowTalk 16:25, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Any of the unstruck hooks is fine, but I tend to agree with Crow that the original would be the most hooky. Belle (talk) 16:38, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

ALT4 ... that Jimmy the raven could open envelopes and ride a motorcycle, landed on the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, was in 1000 other films such as It's a Wonderful Life, and earned a Red Cross gold medal? EEng (talk) 18:07, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
