Hundeprutterutchebane edit

Hundeprutterutchebane coaster and theming

  • ...that Hundeprutterutchebane (pictured), a roller coaster whose name means "dog farts" in Danish, is themed with simulated feces and flatulence?

  • Actually, Hundeprutterutchebane means "dog farts" in Danish -- "dog farts" means "dog farts" in English.
ALT1 ... that Hundeprutterutchebane (pictured), Denmark's "Dog Fart Rollercoaster", takes riders past a statue of a defecating dog and "gives new meaning to the phrase 'the wind in my face'"?
Just a personal request: the article says, "There are also speakers throughout the ride which make simulated "dog fart" sounds." I wonder why it was necessary to use simulated dog-fart sounds -- was it not possible to record some real ones? I'd appreciate someone researching this in case I someday decide to become a veterinary gastroenterologist. EEng (talk) 21:53, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
There's nothing in the sources to say they are simulated (or even recorded; they may have flatulent dogs backing up to the microphone) Belle (talk) 02:15, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
You're right! The article's inaccurate. Hard to believe something like that slipped through. EEng (talk) 02:37, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
I don't want to think about things "slipping through" when it comes to this article. I fixed that. I suppose I shouldn't assume. I agree that ALT1 is better. IronGargoyle (talk) 03:25, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

Long enough; new enough; QPQ done; no close-paraphrasing or other copying based problems; cited (though a couple of sources are blogs they are for opinion only). Either hook is fine, I prefer ALT1 as it has no British/American English problems. Picture is usable but boring (especially at this resolution), so I'd skip it. I would just like to state for the record that I am in no way related to any Danes (sorry, mormor). Belle (talk) 02:15, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

Oh wait! Commons has photos of dogs defecating! (Quite a selection actually -- why am I not surprised?) Then the hook can say
ALTNOTSERIOUS ... that Hundeprutterutchebane, Denmark's "Dog Fart Rollercoaster", takes riders past a statue of a defecating dog (non-statuary defecating dog pictured) and "gives new meaning to the phrase 'the wind in my face'"?
