Birthday of the Monkey God edit

The Monkey God

Created by Bonkers The Clown (talk). Self nominated at 05:03, 6 June 2013 (UTC).

It provides reliable info, that's how. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 04:57, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
  • How do we know it's reliable? What's backing up your assertion of reliability? BlueMoonset (talk) 04:02, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
If it reads as reliable, smells reliable, and seems reliable, it most likely IS reliable. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 05:09, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, not likely enough. This could just as easily be a case of "corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative." BlueMoonset (talk) 23:07, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Okay, how about we call in the "experts" on reliable sources? ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 01:49, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
I believe that WP:RSN, the reliable sources notice board, would be the place for you to go about this source. Alternatively, you could delete the one quoted phrase that relies on said source, making the whole thing moot. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:51, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
... Why didn't I think of that... I think it passes now. Thank you. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 05:26, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Full review of nomination needed now that sourcing issues have been addressed. BlueMoonset (talk) 22:20, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Blood sacrifice in honour of the Monkey God? This should be shown on the main page every Jan 15/16th forever.

Source offline, and a bit on the thin side. Maybe you could add something about the Hong Kong temple with the knife-ladder climbing shaman? Anyway, it looks good to go as is. -- Lord Monkey III[1]
