32 Old Slip

edit

5x expanded by MusikAnimal (talk). Self nominated at 20:28, 29 August 2014 (UTC).

  • Just wanted to say this is my first time nominating an article for DYK, so sorry if I missed anything :) — MusikAnimal talk 21:42, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
Date and hooks are fine, but I would like to see the {{orphan}} tag addressed before it goes on the main page, and one of DYK's over-abundance of rules requires a reference immediately after the hook fact in the article (even though the requirement has no basis in policy, not even being required of featured articles). You're also 69 characters short of a fivefold expansion—458 x 5 = 2290; you're at 2221. I'll be happy to pass this once you've addressed those; hopefully it will be fairly straightforward. @HJ Mitchell: I believe I've addressed all the issues. Using the DYKcheck script I'm at 2445 characters. Also wanted to throw in that I'm aware of the quid pro quo nature of the DYK process, and that when I feel a bit more comfortable I will certainly do a review of my own. Thanks! — MusikAnimal talk 16:15, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
I'm also beginning to like the ALT1 hook more, perhaps a bit more interesting. Only issue is that fact may not be set in stone, as the US government could auction more expensive property in the future. — MusikAnimal talk 16:21, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
My concerns have been addressed and he article is good to go. For the record, this approval covers both hooks. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:32, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
