Added Cleanup to Game Play section. Currently it reads too much like a game guide. Needs to be more encyclopedic.--Isotope23 17:38, 13 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Overhaul

edit

Since I have a vested interest in the Wizardry series, I've noticed quite a few things that are wrong with the Plot section (The Helazoid don't rule the planet, the fourth location is not in a jungle, the Mook are Yeti-like, not monkeys, it's possible to not ally with the Gorn, etc...)

Gameplay is flagged for cleanup, too, so I would like to write an overhaul for this article. What is good form, in this case? Should I simply delete everything and start from scratch? Should I save a copy of the old article in my records or somewhere else? Should I ask permission?

Thank you, Chris

Whelp, there I went!

edit

I went ahead and smashed out a Plot, Race and Gameplay section for Wizardry 7, including pictures. I have the backup from the original saved, in case it's needed.

Never mind

Figure of speech.

I like this game

Yippee!

Replaced my article

edit

I deleted the article I wrote before, but I have decided to put it back up.

If someone can inform me on how I can put pictures on my hard drive of the NPC races up (which are copyrighted, though this doesn't stop other gaming articles from doing it) without the usual swarm of Wikipedia editor brownshirts swooping in, I would appreciate it.

  • Go to Special:Upload and include license tag and fair use rationale with the image so they shouldn't be deleted. Also they have to be low-res images. Check examples from video game featured articles. --Mika1h 18:23, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
    • Thank you, Mika. I've followed your advice and put the pictures back up in GIF format, with hopefully correct copyright info. I wish more people were as helpful and kind as you around here.

Wizardry Gold

Wizardry Gold has an edit page, shouldn't it just redirect to Wizardry VII? Digifiend 08:27, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Wizardry Gold information I changed

edit

While I'm not the expert on Wizardry Gold, from what I understand, diplomacy is left largely unchanged. In fact, I'm fairly certain that the only difference is a bug in the game, where you cannot trade with a person from a certain race until you join their faction, even if they are neutral to the war on Guardia. Feel free to change it back if you know I am in error and let me know, so I can stash that information away and greedily hoard it like the Wiz fan I am. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wallbridge (talkcontribs) 03:54, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Helazoid.gif

edit

Image:Helazoid.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Replaced it all!

edit

I put back the stuff I wrote, then deleted a few months ago. Why did I delete it before? Because some uber-nerd on a powertrip rejected pictures I put up because I checked the wrong copyright box on them. Those same pictures are now up. NOW WHO'S THE NERD, HUH?!

P.S. Betacommand is a boob.

P.P.S. BALTIMORE ORIOLES, #1!

Win 3.1 and NT

edit

I added these to the Gold section, based on the game box saying it was compatible with those platforms. I don't know how to properly cite a game box, though. 98.243.94.83 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 21:11, 10 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
