Original Research?

Demand knowledge of what makes this article (or at least the "Weapons and Technology" section) applicable for OR/unverified claims. This is an article about something in a video game; most, if not all of the article's content can be found in the games themselves or their accompanying instruction manuals. Just because sources aren't cited (and to cite what, the game itself? Do I put a link to Gamestop's results page for a search of "Gradius"??) doesn't automatically deem the article full of original research. KSShaezer 17:26, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. This comes from ALL the games and ALL the instruction manuals, Konami did not publish "The Book of Vic Viper" containing all this knowledge. 67.182.138.63 03:04, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Not really, it's mostly an explanation of Vic Viper's inclusion and his role in the game. It looks long, but it's all Vic Viper. --67.182.138.63 03:47, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Image:Gokujo parodius characters.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Merge to where?

As the debate in the AfD page suggested, I am moving the discussion here. I know of no good source for this article other than the one I mentioned there. I have no idea where should this article merge to(the Gradius series aritcle?) or can anyone find some good source for this article to show its notability? I can't recall now where Vic Viper first appeared, but I would propose merging it with that series' or game's article, as a new section, and severely trimmed down. Deltwalrus (talk) 19:35, 2 December 2008 (UTC) I'd also support a merge, and suspect that Gradius (series) would be a suitable target. The other cameos could be summed up in a sentence or two. Who or what is Vic Viper

This article is called Vic Viper but there is nothing in the article about Vic Viper; the name isn't even mentioned in the main content, not even in the lead. Jodosma (talk) 12:11, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
