Title edit

This article needs renaming. --Λeternus (talk) 10:00, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, i agree. As you can see on the forum people call it Unreal Tournament 4 or UT2014/2015, [1] but nothing has been confirmed yet. I think the idea is that this is the last Unreal Tournament game we'll see, however it'll be fully moddable for diversity and (probably) have updated support for porting to the next version of Unreal Engine so as to stay relevant in the future. Hakken (talk) 17:42, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
I think it's better to rename it to "Unreal Tournament 4" for now, since "2014 video game" isn't making any sense, and we don't know the correct release date. --Λeternus (talk) 09:39, 30 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Done. Unreal Tournament 4 is highly appropriate given the engine and this being the 4th proper installment to the (UT) series. Hakken (talk) 11:23, 30 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Unique? edit

At least Wasteland 2 was crowdsourced too AFAIK, so I'm not sure that "unique" is the best word in the introduction. I would like some feedback before changing it myself. Louhike (talk) 11:57, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wasteland 2 was crowdfunded not crowdsourced. They're two different things. The1337gamer (talk) 12:26, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Wasteland 2 was crowdsourced. Please see this topic on the Unity forum. Louhike 17:03, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Maybe it should be reworded to say that the development approach unique within the Unreal series. Or maybe use different word like "unconventional" instead of "unique". The1337gamer (talk) 17:05, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

This seriously needs to be updated... edit

The project is dead/shelved, and the game is no longer being worked on - at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.10.141.80 (talk) 20:41, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Canceled? edit

I don't see anywhere in the article where it says it was officially canceled, yet the title says so? DemonDays64 (talk) 17:22, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

it's not the same as cancellation to stop development -- it's still available to buy. Maybe unfinished is the better word? DemonDays64 (talk) 17:23, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Never officially cancelled, though as development halted in June 2017 and it's now in an obsolete engine with UE5 all but here, I've described it as unfinished throughout the article. Considering the age, it would effectively need to be remade from scratch at this point if they were to return to the concept; a number of the core engine features it relies on have long since been removed or depreciated. --ERAGON (talk) 12:23, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

This has been discussed in previous years but I do not think "cancelled" should be in this page's title. Cancelled implies that it was never released, yet people played it when it was released in the alpha stage. I think it should be reverted to "(2014 video game)" or something else.
