Redirect Fix

Right now, if you go to "Unikitty! (TV Series)" in Wikipedia it's directing to the blurb on the LEGO Movie page, about the series, (The_Lego_Movie_(franchise)#Television_series) instead of to this page directly. I'm guessing that's left over from before the show had its own page, but obviously needs to be fixed. I haven't learned how to correct redirects in Wikipedia yet, so I'd appreciate if someone else could make the fix. Thanks. CleverTitania (talk) 21:32, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Reception Section Updates

I did some research and couldn't find anything to justify the previous editor rewriting the Reception section to suggest that the show has overall positive reviews. And after having taken out the one significantly negative review on-hand, they left in a "positive review" by Common Sense Media that didn't actually say any of the things which were paraphrased in the paragraph, and was itself a meh-plus review. In fact the average review score on that page gives the show 3 out of 5 stars, and is similar in breakdown to the IMDB reviews. Thus we really cannot use that URL as evidence of "overall positive reviews."

So instead of trying to find a balance of reviews, I used a review quote that neatly paraphrases the notable trend in the existing reviews - that about half divisively love or hate the show, while the other half rate the show just north of mediocre.

I'm not sure about the IMDB note. It's a bit first-person-research, but at the same time, writing a consensus of reviews for a piece of media is always first-person research on some level, because you're personally looking for common trends and themes in a myriad of reviews on a myriad of review sites. I thought those few numbers would demonstrate how the reviews are not just mixed right now, they are notably split between being divisively pro/con and of the opinion that the show is "not bad, not good, just okay." But if anyone feels that the IMDB information is superfluous or confusing, it can certainly go. I think that quote I grabbed was rather serendipitous, as it gives a strong verbal context to what modicum of consensus we have right now.

However I do want to note that, if the choice is between the reviews that were already in the article, and any remotely comprehensive reviews that exist online right now, the page would be better to have no Reception section at all than to have a section which (falsely) implies there is an overall positive or negative response to the show. And the single professional review that's on Rotten Tomatoes (from a writer at Forbes), was written the day the DVD of Season 1 released (August 28, 2018), so I would not expect many more reviews to come in until the show at least has a Second season. Though the release of the LEGO Movie sequel in 2019 obviously could bring more people to check out - and subsequently offer articulate opinions of - the Unitkitty! cartoon. Eight columns is more cramped then seven, but you also made a multitude of mistakes, such as reverting the correct use of quotation marks, you introduced duplicate headers, and reverted edits that introduce accessibility as protected by Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Accessibility: "The Wikimedia Foundation prohibits discrimination against current or prospective users and employees on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristics." This concerns the use of block elements within the tables; this cannot be circumnavigated for what is "easier" to read for you, but not for those that use a screen reader. It shouldn't have a viewer number yet, but it was officially released online in the US all the way back around March. I'm surprised the episode isn't on the list since those releases are usually noted. Alphius (talk) 15:39, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

The End of Unikitty! Is Near...

Voice actress Tara Strong announced at Baltimore Comic-Con 2019 that Unikitty! did not get picked up for a third season, which means the end of Unikitty! could possibly be near. If a show does not get a new episode within a year, then the show is most certainly canceled. In Unikittys case, it's been exactly eight months since a new episode aired. So "canceled" is most definitely a word to use. 172.250.44.165 (talk) 00:59, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Season 3
