Page creation edit
This page was created as a separate page to that of Haredi Judaism. That page deals with the theological and historical aspects of Haredi Judaism as a religious denomination. This page is focused on the sociological aspects of ultra-Orthodox Jews, which are currently the main topics of discussion in the media and public policy.
Similarly, there is a page for Judaism for the religious topics, and a separate page for Jews as a people in the sociological sense.

Proposed move to 'Haredi Jews (Social Group)' edit
Considering the offensive nature of the term 'ultra', and considering that the corresponding article about the religious beliefs is Haredi Judaism, it would be a good idea to rename this page as Haredi Jews (Social Group). --PiMaster3 talk 23:33, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- That seems reasonable. The beginning of the article says "Ultra-Orthodox Jews or Haredim." I believe the latter should be used as the preferred name. Andrew327 05:25, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- I agree Haredi in the title would be better. However, in general, I'm unsure if this as a cultural topic really makes sense as something different from Haredi Judaism, and if we decide that it does, I think it would probably work best under another title entirely.--Pharos (talk) 11:57, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
