The subject of this article

edit

Previous versions of this article seemed to conflate different persons of the same name. I attempted cleanup, but this edit suggests my work might have been incomplete. This edit also indicates identity may be confused. The information removed in those edits has since been restored, however I'm willing to accept that there may still be some kind of confusion as to what work should be attributed to the subject of this article. If anyone has a comment on how to improve this article, I hope it will be left here. In doing so, please give links in support, preferably to reliable sources, to verify the removal of content. I'd like to thank anonymous editors for their input, and I hope this article can be improved. JFHJr () 02:54, 25 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

The only sources we have are journal articles and her bio at BU. I have removed her birth date and her birth place as unsourced. We don't even have a source for saying she's Swedish. I'm also not sure how certain items have been selected as more noteworthy than others, i.e., the "heavily cited paper", and the list of selected publications (neither of which is on her own profile). It would be helpful to get some mainstream, secondary sources.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:09, 25 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Good point. I selected those because they appeared to be her most extensively cited works. I agree about mainstream secondary sources, but came up short finding them. JFHJr () 20:43, 25 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I guess we make do with what we've got. :-) I have no idea whether she satisfies WP:PROF - she has to meet only one of that long list of "conditions".--Bbb23 (talk) 21:27, 25 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi, this is Ulla's daughter. :) She was indeed not born in Sweden, that's someone different. (She was born in Wisconsin to parents of Danish extraction. "Ulla Hansen" is apparently not an uncommon Scandinavian name!) There's a fairly accurate list of her articles in Google Scholar if you want to add things from that. She was also recently profiled here: http://www.bu.edu/today/2012/taking-on-cancer-tackling-liver-cancer-in-the-lab/ 98.229.164.44 (talk) 13:48, 8 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
