Thanks but I don't think my account has the authority to do so - can I email it to you? (YPSI123 (talk) 16:25, 13 August 2009 (UTC))Reply

New accounts have some things blocked of to prevent vandalism, and yes you may email the image and I will upload it. -- [[ axg ⁞⁞ talk ]] 17:31, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Closed"? edit

"Closed" (in this context) seems like a Briticism to me. I'd have to call such channels "ended," "cut," "stopped," or "done away with." (Yes, I know the policy on different Englishes, and I don't expect anything to change. I just wanted to make a comment.) Entire companies close down or fold while branches and franchises close or close down. Cable TV channels can be dropped by a cable company if the channel still exists, but the originating company ends, cuts, or stops the channels that they've done away with. Closing a cable channel is like pronouncing "Chianti" the way Hopkins did in Silence of the Lambs, a dead giveaway that it ain't American English. Well, that's one American's opinion. Boy, do I miss alt.usage.english. 68.89.149.2 16:35, 15 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Closed is fine. "Done away with"?? WTF are you on. It's a british company so why can't we use "Briticism"? Why should we use the Americanisms you have suggested? Honestly. 92.22.171.25 (talk) 15:01, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Having separate articles for UKTV Gardens and Really edit

I was thinking should we create a separate article for the channel "Really" as that is going to be a completely different channel to "UKTV Gardens" and when "Really" launches on Tuesday we could list "UKTV Gardens" as a defunct channel. What do all of you think? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.108.132.242 (talk) 12:38, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

UKTV Sport split edit

I think UKTV Sport should get its own article. It’s not so relevant. But it really should. I’ll try to make the article. Anyone else up for it? TheWiiikiBeStrong (talk) 22:28, 15 November 2021 (GMT)

Sport was shown on UKTV G2 and Dave at various points so there's some justification for an article but calling the article UKTV Sport might be confusing as readers might think that you are talking about a channel that never existed. Also do ensure that there are plenty of reliable sources in case it does go to a deletion discussion. Rillington (talk) 13:17, 16 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
