We need a dab page between this article and United American Nurses somewhere. —Nightstallion (?) 10:25, 11 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

UAN composition

Hello 68.83.9.186, I have reverted your edits in the page UAN. The percentages you provided were the percentages N of the composites of the solution and not the weight percentages of the composites of the solution. See for reference the MSDS of J.R. Simplot you provided (thanks for those!). The weight percentages of those are however different as in the reference I used (Fertilizer manual). I guess that the composition is slightly different at every manufacturer. I will therefore round off the percentages in the article. Baggerman 10:51, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

You are right. I assumed the page was describing the percentage N contributed by each composite, rather than the composite percent of UAN by weight. I think the format is a bit confusing, as I suspect most visitors to this page will be UAN users, not formulators. You should note that the salting out point for 32% is -2C, not -20C. As a fertilizer applicator, we have lots of experience with 32% "gelling" just below the water freezing point. See the references for corroboration. 68.83.9.186 16:48, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
