Trudeau Corporation is specialized in the design, manufacturing and distribution of houseware, kitchenware and products for children under license. The Canadian distribution center is located in Longueuil near Montreal; the American distribution center located in Woodridge (near Chicago)

The Company

The Trudeau line includes innovations for today’s contemporary kitchen and home. The company has an extensive network of sales representatives throughout Canada, USA, and all over the world. Consumers can purchase various products through retailers located in over 40 countries.

In Quebec, the products are found mainly in The Bay and some specialty stores (Stokes, Pot-Pourri, Centre du Rasoir, etc). The Home Presence brand is evolving through Wal-Mart and Zellers.

History

First Generation

Trudeau Corporation has manufactured kitchenware and tableware, starting as The General Bazaar Company in Montreal, Canada, in 1889. The company initially focuses on the distribution of imported articles (smoker's accessories) and religious articles.

In 1919, Joseph-Arthur Trudeau becomes President.

Second Generation

Trudeau develops an extensive distribution network, emphasizing brand name small electrical accessories. It imports a range of decorative giftware made of crystal from France and from Czechkoslovakia.

Third Generation

Trudeau turns into a modern dynamic company. It adds new exclusive ranges in housewares, giftware and porcelain figurine collectibles. Trudeau starts to export its products across the world. It experiences significant growth in many countries, especially for its range of children's tableware.

Trudeau launches the "Trudeau" and "Home Presence" Brands and created two organizations: Home Presence and Trudeau Corporation 1889 Inc.

4th Generation

In 2007, Philippe Trudeau is officially nominated new president.
