Fair use rationale for Image:Sitabus.gif edit

Image:Sitabus.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

How many bus routes? edit

@Marcnut1996: The number of bus routes was just changed from 19 to 18 - which is the number of routes listed in List_of_bus_routes_in_Melbourne in individual routes but there were 19 listed lower down the page where an additional route 422 was listed. As a result of the change here I deleted route 422 from that summary but then I found that route 422 is still a 19th route listed in the Sita website which is confirmed from the PTV website [1] On the other hand Sunshine railway station, Melbourne does not list this route. I suspect that route 422 still exists.Fleet Lists (talk) 05:27, 12 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Fleet Lists: I took the Transit Systems announcement as the most updated information as the acquisition is very recent. The announcement said 18 routes which is why I changed the number from 19 to 18. Tripview app, however, does show that 422 exists and is operating today (12 March 2019). Maybe it is another route that was cancelled? A shame that I am very unfamiliar with Melbourne bus system and routes. Marcnut1996 (talk) 06:49, 12 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
Edit: Tripview contains all the routes listed on the SITA website. Perhaps, one of the routes was passed to another operator? 400 seems to be jointly operated with CDC Melbourne based on List of bus routes in Melbourne#400–499 but I am not sure if this is still the case now. @Marcnut1996: All very confusing as Transit Systems timetables lists 19 timetables. Maybe they are not counting route 400 which as you say is combined with CDC but the actual timetable on the PTV website shows Sita only in the PDF.[1]Fleet Lists (talk) 07:10, 12 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Fleet Lists: Yeah, it's definitely very confusing. I think we should leave it at 18 routes for now. I am sure Transit Systems know how many routes they have bought and will not be announcing wrong information. Marcnut1996 (talk) 00:36, 13 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
Edit: I forgot that you mentioned on the timetables page that there are 19 routes. They probably did announce wrong information. I guess we have to wait on and see if it is 18 or 19. Marcnut1996 (talk) 12:10, 13 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Marcnut1996:I have received an email from Sita confirming that 19 routes are involved. They were surprised that the page with 18 was available for public viewing as they believe it is a draft only which was not ready for public release.Fleet Lists (talk) 03:16, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
The article on the Transit Systems website which we used as the reference for the take over has been removed.Fleet Lists (talk) 03:55, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
