Hi, I live in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and have previously lived in Sydney, New South Wales for 9 years between 2013 and 2021. I have great interest on Sydney and Melbourne's public transport and roads. Please feel free to edit pages related to them.
Before moving to Australia as a teenager, I used to live in Singapore for 13 years, and have family roots in Hong Kong. If I'm found editing articles about these 2 places, this is the reason.
I initially started out editing bridges in Sydney, NSW roads, and Sydney's public transport articles in 2013. 2013 was a big year of transition for NSW roads and transport (and in wikipedia), such as:
- Implementation of the alphanumeric road numbering system in NSW and ACT, so a number of road infoboxes have to be updated to reflect the changes
- CityRail split into Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink. Templates that used the CityRail named have to be changed to Sydney Trains or NSW TrainLink, requiring a change of template name in many articles
- Implementation of the new train branding, when the Sydney Trains network was regrouped into 7 passenger lines (and new colouring scheme). Stations and line articles have to be updated to reflect those changes.
Over the years, my editing scope later expanded to editing governmental and political party articles regarding Australia, New South Wales and Victoria, as well as supermarkets and petroleum companies in Australia. I occasionally edit transport articles about other Australian cities like Brisbane, but due to my limited knowledge of those areas, there was not much edits I could add.
Since graduation from university in 2018, I worked in a traffic engineering consultant company in Sydney, which gives me greater exposure and understanding of road projects in Sydney and NSW. After moving to Melbourne, I am staying in the traffic engineering field which also allows me to understand the road projects in Melbourne and Victoria. However, any content I add to Wikipedia will always be sourced publicly from the internet and not just from my own understanding.
