The defeat of Custoza as well as that of Lissa were certainly not severe defeats. The Italian army and Italian navy could both continue the war and perhaps eventually achieve the success. They were however bitter defeats becuse unexpected--Deguef (talk) 12:15, 5 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Looking at casualties versus troops and ships still available they would not seem severe defeats, but they were infact so because of the morale effect on Italian commanders, polititian and population "A Battle is won when it is lost in the enemy commandër's mind" and the Italians surely felt losing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.205.194.4 (talk) 12:29, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

The two sources in the infobox that claimed "Austrian military victory" are about the Battle of Bezzecca, not the entire war. I think that it can be considered an inconclusive war, as the Italians were defeated at Bezzecca and Lizza, but they won in the Trentino front
and the last battle they fought was another victory over Austrians guarding the crossing of the Torre river (Battle of Versia). DavideVeloria88 (talk) 08:18, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
