Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:11, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

There is consensus that he was of Genoese origin. Therefore your edition is completely unnecessary.

In any case, if you insist on your nationalist idea, it is convenient to publish that he was Genoese (Italian). JamesOredan (talk) 12:27, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

The article says it was founded by Romans. We don't use tourist sites, etc for archeology for obvious reasons. I don't know what Chisena says as there's no preview I can see, but hopefully he doesn't claim it was a city 10,000 years ago. Doug Weller talk 15:52, 7 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring edit

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Italian Libya edit

Hello DavideVeloria88,

I see you made some changes that suggested Italian Libya continued until 1947 and that the Allied administration of Libya only began in 1947, rather than using 1943 as the switch-over date. This doesn't seem useful; it's a very legalistic way to approach the colony's end date. Effectively, as soon as the Italians were driven out during WW2, Italian Libya was no more and the Allies ran the show. Would you complain if I moved it back to the 1943 date? The '47 treaty was merely ratifying a fait accompli, it isn't a useful date. SnowFire (talk) 01:53, 24 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from History of Eritrea into Eritrean War. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Battle of Algiers screen.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:The Battle of Algiers screen.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 29 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Size restriction on non-free film posters edit

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, you may not be aware that there's a size restriction on non-free movie posters. The image must contain no more than about 100,000 pixels (0.1 megapixels). This means that when you multiply the image's width by its height, the result should be no more than 100,000. Therefore an image like File:Romulus & Remus, The First King (2019) Film Poster.jpeg which is 420 × 600 is too big; it's more than double the size we are looking for. I've removed it from the article, and replaced it with File:Romulus & Remus, The First King (2019) Italian Film Poster.png, which is already the required size, having been reduced by a bot. If you have any questions please let me know, or ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:25, 4 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

The DIC logo at the end of episodes (most of them, because it normally gets plastered) has a byline on it, saying "Co-produced with Reitalia S.P.A. in association with Telecinco", so they did have some involvement with the series. Luigitehplumber (talk) 12:32, 5 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes, in fact now it is written that way. However, Telecinco is not a producer, but a TV channel, so it can’t be insert in the infobox as a production company. True, I didn't add them in, anyway because I know very well that channels cannot be put in the production company part of the infobox. Luigitehplumber (talk) 23:39, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Gekido Kintaro's Revenge screen gameplay.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:Gekido Kintaro's Revenge screen gameplay.png.

Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 23 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Buon proseguimento! DavideVeloria88 (talk) 17:44, 23 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
