Talk:The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II: The Rise of the Witch-king

September 2006 edit

It seems that there will be an eighth faction as well. If you look closely in the "Shade of the wolf" Image in this article, the swordsmen and archers seem to have different style armor than that of the men of the west or the elves. It looks similar to the last alliance. I wouldn't be surprised... the sprites already exist from the intro to the first BFME, and if this is a thousand or so years in the past, then they would fit into the cannon. (Despite being far removed from the second age

Also, the games from EA have traditionally had two different campaigns... if there is an Evil one. Thus, there would likely be a good campaign as well.

According to Tolken lore, (and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witch-king_of_Angmar) the witch king was defeated by a joint effort by men end elves. Perhaps this new camping will have a "Full cycle" storyline, instead of the two separate timelines seen in the previous BFME games.

AFAIK this "eighth faction" is Arnor, but only available as an opponent in the bad campaign. Arnor is an "older MotW".

How about using a colon rather than a little dash? Uthanc 08:31, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't this be merged into the BFME2 article?--ANDY+MCI=Andy Mci 09:51, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Computer and video games with limited editions edit

I don't think this article should be categorized as Computer and video games with limited editions since there is no existing Collector's Edition, Limited Edition, or Special Edition related to it. The main game (The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II) has a Collector's Edition, but it does not imply that this expansion pack has also its own Collector's Edition. xbox 360 edit

Is this expansion not available for xbox 360 - I will remove the references to xbox 360 for now.

Tone edit

I dropped a tag because gameplay needs to be in a prose format, the missions should not have that many subsections, and characters should probably go.--Clyde (talk) 20:19, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

New Tolkien-derived stuff edit

Anyone want to write about the original stuff this game has (probably 90% of it)? Uthanc 17:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

arnor in 2.02 edit

The first sentence under gameplay changes is false. EA are probably not going to patch this game again, and are definitely not adding a new faction. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.137.199.97 (talk) 22:01, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

While I agree it's unlikely to happen, there's still a chance. Either way, since there has been no official word, I indicated it as a rumor.Solinx 00:26, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think such a rumour still needs a citation. Also, a reference to the unofficial 2.02 patch about to be released by www.gamereplays.org, which tackles all the major balance issues and bugs, would be useful in my opinion. Gamereplays has made patches for EA in the past and, if there ever is an official 2.02, this will be it (although this is still unlikely). 86.134.147.182 (talk) 12:08, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Karsh edit

Is the information in the sub section for Karsh really necessary? I don't see how describing how his performance on a -95% handicap and his leveling speed is contributing to the article.Alexander Le Fey (talk) 21:47, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The name of the captain who later became Karsh is Carthean. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tim Auke Kools (talkcontribs) 15:00, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
