Plot

According to the plot section, it sounds like it is not resolved who the murderer is, at the end of the first season. Is that correct? Please don't write "teaser" type plot outlines. This is an encyclopaedia, and we require full information.--81.99.202.66 (talk) 09:10, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Negative Reviews and Falling Viewer Numbers

I have watched the series almost to the end of the third season and find the show, that started out with great promise, to be ultimately unsatisfying for the following reasons: (1) There are no redeeming characters. Every character is deeply flawed almost to the point of caricature. (2) The characters serially fail to communicate. Stony silences are more common the simple explanations that might have cleared the air. This is skillfully used to invoke tension arising from dramatic irony; viewers see situations where a few kind words of explanation between the characters would resolve frustratingly painful misunderstandings, but the words are not spoken. This happens just too often. (3) The show relentlessly depicts a grim view of human nature; reflected also in the dark under-lit and back-lit camera work. There are no lights at the ends of the tunnels. It is just too upsetting and too depressing to keep watching. Now my question: Why are there no reviews that express this opinion, and why is this opinion not represented on the article page? I cannot be the only one who sees the series in this way. Spoilering the killer

Yes, I know the WP:Spoiler page, but nevertheless I think that revealing that information in a broad cast overview is wrong. There are plot summary sections and detailed character descriptions, those should be the places for such a spoiler. You can't just ruin the suspense for people who may be interested in the show and just want to see who's in front of the camera. (I personally think that "The Killing" is a pretty bad show, but that doesn't change anything.) FTN.Sheitan (talk) 11:24, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Agree. This page and the seasonal pages shouldn't reveal whodunit since some people (especially in other countries) have yet to see the finale. It also keeps the "encyclopedic tone" intact for those pages. WHY DOES THE ORIGINAL RUN SAY APRIL 3, 2011?

I wouldn't say it's not correct. The series did debut on April 3, 2011. For Futurama it makes more sense, the series was off the air for about 5 years before it came back, there's clear distinction between the original series and than the revived one in terms of when they aired. With The Killing, it's simply debuting two months later than it normally does (June, not April). The extra infobox formatting seems a bit unnecessary with this one.
