I say we need to start adding to the sidebar for The Journeyman Project. I never played TJP2, so I can't fill it all in myself. ShadowMan1od 02:19, 24 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

TSA versus Temporal Protectorate: In the original game, the agency tasked with protecting time was called the Temporal Protectorate. The acronym "TSA" stood for Temporal Security Annex. The "Annex" in the name denotes a location. The TSA is the place where Agent 5 works, not the name of the actual agency (which is the Temporal Protectorate). The question is, was this all changed in the sequels? 192.91.171.36 22:49, 22 December 2005

In TJP2 and 3, it's called the Temporal Security Agency instead of the Annex and it's become it's own company. Dunno if it's still connectedc with the Protectorate though. ShadowMan1od 02:10, 23 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Okay, somebody thank me, I've done some major improvements on the article. I've expanded the story to a detailed plot. Still, since its unverified information, could somebody advice on how to add references? I mean, I've played the game like a zillion times, so I know the game backwards, but still, I don't know what kind of references I could add. I'm also seeing if I can add some images, but this whole rationale thing is a little confusing. I'll see if what I have in mind is allowed.--Surten (talk) 09:44, 23 March 2008 (UTC)SurtenReply

Split Article

edit

I split Buried in Time off into its own seperate article to give it room to expand seperately. It may be a little rough right now, but I'm working on it. I also plan to do a similar thing to Legacy of Time. Comments and critcism are welcome. --Green451 19:02, 28 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Good job. I remembered that they did not have seperate articles, and just came on back right now to put that right, so to speak. Great job so far, if you need any help just get in touch with me or leave a message here. Radagast83 22:26, 2 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
Another thing that should be done (I can work on this), is that if there is a spin-off for Buried in Time, there should also be one for both Journeyman Project, and for Legacy of Time. Then the "Journeyman Franchise" page could be the main page for all three (and the unmade fourth) game. Also, unfortunately I think that much of the info-box is pretty useless at this point, and that all relevant information that appears on the links at this point should be merged into each respective games (a la Myst, for the lesser known areas of the gameplay). If they deem to be important enough for expansion at a later date I think it would work quite well. I'll do some work on that now since I think there should be little problem with this. Reception?

edit

It would be nice to see a section on how successful (or unsuccessful) these games were when they were released, both commercially and critically. 156.34.213.129 19:35, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Version history

edit

The version history is good, but I'm pretty sure it's incomplete. For instance, I know that there was at least a v1.2 of the MPC (Windows) version. I'm not sure how it fits in to the history, whether it came after or at the same time as any of the Mac versions.

There may be other omissions (for instance, revisions to Turbo?). Is it worth adding this kind of info to the article? Dxdt 04:43, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Journeyman Chronicles

edit

Should this be up here? I haven't seen anything about it anywhere else, and there hasn't really been any developments on it yet. It seems like an ad more than anything, especially its placement in the sidebar. ShadowMan1od 06:07, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merging?

edit

I am against merging this page with the franchise page. They are on two different topics. This is on the game itself and the other is an overview of the series. -Clone2727 01:15, 16 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I to am against merging the two. One is an overview page for the entire series and another is for the specific game. Radagast83 04:03, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've removed it, seeing that no one else has anything to say for or against merging. -Clone2727 01:35, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Convert sidebar into standard CVG navigation box.

edit

On the discussion page for Template: Journeyman Project series, I have proposed converting the the current navigational "sidebar" to a more standard navigation box (e.g. Template:Kirby_series). But since this page seems to get more traffic, I'll repeat it here.

Some reasons this should be done:

  • Most computer & video game (CVG) articles comply to the navbox guidelines set out

here. Adhering to the guidelines helps make CVG articles homogeneous.

  • The markup for the sidebar has become extremely convoluted. The mixture of layout and informational content makes it difficult to maintain. A navbox can be constructed through a template that handles most of the layout automatically.
  • Nonuniform usage on series-related pages. For instance, Journeyman Project series places it (logically) at the top right, while The Journeyman Project moves it to the section "External Links" to avoid interfering with that game's infobox, while Buried in Time places it under yet another section ("Publishing"), where it still interferes with the text of the article. On the other hand, a navbox always appears at the bottom of the page.

If no one objects, I will be happy to do it. Dxdt 19:23, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have posted my proposed changes to the Talk page of Template:Journeyman Project series. Dxdt 20:32, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

NPOV dispute [The Journeyman Chronicles]

edit

This section makes references only to the Vigilant EC website and reads more as an advertisement for the Chronicles mod than an encyclopedic entry. Surely if this mod is popular in the community, there are other articles out there providing an unbiased summary of its progress and/or history? Blitter 06:55, 15 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sounds more like a timeline of events rather than an advertisement. I'd have to disagree with your input.--66.245.201.156 00:20, 15 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Deleted images?

edit

Checked the history and found that an image removal bot removed some crucial images from the page. What was the reason? --Westernshinobi (talk) 10:39, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

The images lacked fair use rationales. Green451 17:48, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

TRACKBALL PUZZLE

edit

Am I the only person who is getting really annoyed at the last puzzle where you have to deactivate all the missle silos? The puzzle is cool but that trackball really really angers me. It is just to sensitive that it goes right over the place you are wanting to select and when I am right on the location it doesn't highlight it so it could be deactivated. Well I just wanted to let off some steam and hope to gods I will finish this game. WISH ME LUCK! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.214.248.129 (talk) 05:49, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, actually, that track ball is annoying, but I also think the color nodes puzzle slows things down a lot. By the way, you're actually playing the game to this day? I thought I was the only one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Surten (talkcontribs) 23:09, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Opening Narrator?

Does anyone know who the opening narrator is? --IronMaidenRocks (talk) 04:20, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

– Per WP:NCVGDAB. Does not appear particularly more notable than the series as a whole. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 20:56, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
