editI noticed the story had a main theme of mismatched love that happens in parallels between the narrator and Corinne, Corinne and Raymond, and Raymond and Croft. Also, none of them end up happy, which could make it a commentary on the unfulfilled social life of the poet/artist. Clockwrist (talk) 22:49, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
