Gameplay(Snes Version)

edit

Unrealisms

  • Game doesn't account for the clutch being pressed. EG: You should have to lay off the gas whilst changing gear else the revs would still increase.
  • You can avoid blowing an engine from excess revving by constantly changing gear
  • Unrealistic Steering - too much speed lost due to changing coarse.
  • You can only move gear up or down by 1 value, where neutral = 0.
  • Can't blow an engine while falling of a cliff.
  • Computer opponent can still steer whilst air bourn.
  • Computer opponent has 'Future sense' in that he/she can see through hills and tunnels to know which lane to choose.

Neutral Gear Bug

edit

Road/Air Friction and gravity no longer has an affect whilst in neutral gear. Although Slow down from steering/hitting other vehicles still occurs normally. (Snes Version)

Article needed?

As there is more info on this game at Test Drive (video game) than this article, and none of the others in the series save for Test Drive Unlimited have their own article, is this one at all necessary? Either merge the info from the main Test Drive article into this one, or redirect this one to the other. --Vossanova o< 20:52, 6 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Good evening. I am currently in the process of expanding this stub into a full article, with pictures and all.(EnglishEfternamn 23:53, 31 December 2006 (UTC))Reply

When you're done, or if this is merged into the main Test Drive thread, make sure it's more factually accurate than when I came upon it today. The article even mentions that it's a multi-platform game, but only listed the Super Nintendo under "Platforms." Also, the "Vehicles Used" section had backwards facts and ignorant comments (the 959 was a 6-speed, and the F40/Diablo were 5-speeds. Also, the Diablo and F40 don't have "similar body styles" any more than the fact that they are both 2-door Italian supercars. -- 69.129.195.198, 05:07 GMT, 5 January 2007

I see you are not even able to sign your own comments. If you have anything helpful to contribute, please do so. (EnglishEfternamn 19:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC))Reply

Helpful like the info I corrected/added to this page? 'Cause that's exactly what I did. I don't know if it'll alert you of this, but I've responded to your comments on my IP user talk page or whatever it's called. It'd be better to leave this dispute there. -- 69.129.195.198, 09:09 GMT, 6 January 2007
