Importance

edit

For the first time in one hundred years, people from all four nations are against a common foe. This could be a turning point in the series.

yeah

I added that to the notes section already. --Piemanmoo 01:31, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lightning?

edit

I'm not sure that the blue-colored waves were indeed the lightning attack. I think that was supposed to be simply very hot fire (like a blow-torch flame), mostly because it seemed to woosh like fire more than crack like lightning. Corbmobile -They were blue flames, not lightning. But Azula also used lightning in this episode.

Article Length

edit

This page strikes me as a bit too much for a half hour TV show. Every minute plot detail is covered. I think it should be shortened to a couple paragraph summary with notes and trivia listed, not a blow by blow account of the entire thing. Eban 16:56, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hm.. yeah. In an earlier edit, someone already cut several paragraphs, so it was even longer before. But I agree; it can be trimmed a bit more. --Crisu 22:00, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
I trimmed it a bit, though not as drastically as I'd intended. It doesn't cover every single detail anymore.
Someone(71.163.71.18) just added a ton to the episode synopsis. Should it be convereted to the last version? ɱўɭĩєWhat did I dowrong 06:10, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Appa

edit

Both times Mei and Ty Lee have fought in the series they've actually been beaten by Appa rather than any of the human characters. Eban 11:49, 6 June 2006 (UTC) It just goes to show that First, Mai and ty Lee are BEast and can't be defeated by a mortal man (Lol) and that Appa is beast, and is not a mortal "man". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.185.242.83 (talk) 19:42, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Note About Avatar Cycle

edit

Technically, they're not actually in the order of the Avatar cycle since traditionally (as at the beginning of each and every episode) the cycle starts with Water, not Air. But then, the way that they are arranged would be the order of the Avatar cycle following Aang. So...I feel it's not entirely accurate, but not entirely inaccurate. Any suggestions? You know, outside of me ceasing to be so persnickety/OCD. I've tried. Doesn't work. Raceberry 11:15, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

They're still in the order of the cycle. They just don't start in the same place. But the order is water -> earth -> fire -> air -> water. MOF 10:10, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, obviously, it being a cycle means that it's a circle. It still doesn't start where they traditionally like to start it (especially considering the correspondence to the seasons), which I think is weird. But, yeah, I'm over it. Raceberry 14:55, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Blindness of Toph

edit

There's no way to prove the next sentence to be true: "is only made worse by Katara making snide remarks of how pretty the night sky is to Toph, showing a rather cold side as she mocks Toph's blindness" i mean i think Katara would never do that it just doesn't fit her personality, besides the group usually forgets about the blindness of Toph, because she is able to take care of herself. I think that either we should remove it or clarify the situation adding to the text "either showing an unprecedented cold side as she mocks Toph's blindness, or that she forgot Toph's blindness as it usually happens in the gang". We actually already had this discussion here. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 06:15, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I still think we must clarify that we don't really know what the intention is. Otherwise we would be assuming things, which is totally against the Wikipedia politics, in which we must address every possibly interpretation of a fact. Carutsu 20:00, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Man I hope that isn't one of the policies, because if it is the Shippers are justified on Wiki. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 23:47, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'm afraid i wasn't able to understand what you meant by "Shippers", as you already know, English is not my native language, so it has no sense at all for me, based on what I know that word means in my language. So please forgive me for that (Would you mind clarifying?). However, moving back to the topic, what are your points against the addition of that sentence, it's just the truth, we don't know for sure the intention, or do we?. Carutsu 00:49, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Shipping is when you see those people post the Zutara and Kataang crap on these boards. Shipping, which comes from relationship, is fan made delusions that two people in a fictional work will eventually get into a romantic relationship. But more on that on Katara's page. What I mean by saying it is that facts should not be up for debate in an encyclopedia. We can't add thinks that we THINK are true even if we put the rebuttal with it unless it is a scientific discussion. This is just a TV show. Since we have no idea how powerful Toph's sight through Earthbending actually is, we simply leave it up for the reader to decide on their own. Thank you for your explanation, despite those points I'm still voting we should add it, however I will not, just because my intention is not to be rude, that said I don't have anything else to say, but may be see you later. (in this case read you later, XD). Carutsu 06:03, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
