These are duplicate articles that talk about the same topic. However, as the first source of this article says "the Blob" has been around since 2013, making the title of this article incorrect. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 17:52, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

A question no one seems to ask edit
I wonder why no one seems to inquire about possible causality between China's (and, to some extent, India's) gargantuan air pollution and the occurrence of The Blob. Masses of China's heavily polluted air do not vanish and have a tendency to move North-East towards North America[1]. Whether they impact N-E Pacific water temperatures or not is an open (or so it seems) question that those with some cognitive curiosity might wish to answer. 172.88.206.28 (talk) 00:55, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

Perhaps this link could be added to this article, it shows no evidence of the higher surface temperatures in the North Pacific that this article refers to. Unoc (talk) 01:23, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
