FLIR=Forward Looking InfRared? edit

Should there be a link to Forward looking infrared in this article, if that's what the company's named after? Jason McHuff (talk) 06:29, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, along with a statement explaining the name. There's probably an article in the Portland Business Journal with that info. Aboutmovies (talk) 07:23, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Guess I won't ride down there tomorrow then. Thanks! tedder (talk) 23:54, 20 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

[1] seems sort of interesting if we could get the whole story... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.71.22.45 (talk) 17:10, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Here's the court judgement, and a slightly confusing local summary. We should also be able to tie this to Cannabis in Oregon because of the Kyllo v. United States case. More: "seven years since Kyllo". tedder (talk) 17:42, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

FLIR Systems -- Updating entry edit

Hello, I'm new to Wikipedia and would like to update this entry. My previous attempt at this was not up to Wikipedia's standards, so it was suggested I post my re-write here to get the community's feedback and suggestions. This is intended to build upon the existing content and citations, but adding some of the more recent activities. I ask for your patience as I learn the tools used here (especially the citation tool, which seems to have flattened my learning curve considerably). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi, thanks - I've moved the content you pasted here to User:Ampersand82/FLIR_Systems so that it can be worked on there (by yourself, and by other users if you don't mind) - and then that page can be deleted when the content has been moved into the article. Looking at that page I can see several opportunities for improvement - (1) there's a lot of "currently", "now" etc, (2) we don't normally use state abbreviations (OR, FL etc) in wp and (3) there are some problems with the refs. Thank you very much, DexDor! I don't mind others working on the entry on that page at all. I'd prefer to receive feedback so that I can learn from other, more experienced users, but not to the point of discouraging others from providing input. I think I've taken care of your points 1 and 2 now. Can you tell me what the problems with the refs are? Is it a matter of broken links or the quality of the sources? I know I need to figure out how to refer to the same source multiple times instead of linking to it repeatedly. I saw that "how to" the other day, but can't seem to find it again. Off to read more...! EDIT -- found and corrected the problems.Ampersand82 (talk) 21:13, 18 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
