Latex or wiki markup

I'm all for using wiki markup when possible, but I think latex has to be used for Wilkie's identity for clarities sake. The markup version looks like:

((1 + x)^y + (1 + x + x²)^y)^x · ((1 + x³)^x + (1 + x² + x⁴)^x)^y

= ((1 + x)^x + (1 + x + x²)^x)^y · ((1 + x³)^y + (1 + x² + x⁴)^y)^x

compared to:
