COI Addressed edit
Since the original COI notification, I have followed the Wikipedia guidelines, edited, added and fix the text, and submitted the article for review. After addressing the reviewed comments, I then replaced the text on the Stephen Emmer page. If there are any further concerns, please let me know.

I work with Stephen Emmer. I edited his Wikipedia page last year without understanding or taking enough time to understand the rules about contributing with a COI. Now I have learned of the policies. Please accept apologies for a clumsy and troubled start.
There is an expanded draft of the article in my sandbox. User:Maartenbousie/sandbox/draft. There are concrete references and I have done the utmost to ensure that the article has a neutral point of view. I understand that the mission of Wikipedia is "to provide the public with articles that summarize accepted knowledge, written neutrally and sourced reliably” and that is my intention in proposing this draft.

Thank you very much Spintendo. I appreciate that you have taken the time to review the draft. I am not sure if I did this correctly. I hope that it is not difficult to understand. I have added citations where the [citation needed] template appears, or removed the content indicated.
- I have removed some of the detail from the early life section and added these references: [1], [2].[3]
- Regarding Martin Hammet and Minny Pops: I have added a citation in addition to the AllMusic reference: [4]
- I have added two references to the section about Vogue Estate:[5][6] (The second is a track listing from Discogs)
- I have removed the quote from Stephen Emmer regarding soundtracks in the section about 7 Minute Man.
- I have removed the detail regarding the books-on-cassette inspiration for Recitement.
- I have removed that the album received significant acclaim, and used only the quote from De Telegraaf.

I have edited the draft and added citations where indicated. I have removed content that was not directly and specifically supported by references, and/or used different references.
I do not agree that the section about Stephen Emmer's music contains indescriminate, excessive, examples and have not significantly edited it. The music section covers a 40-year career, and each of his releases has a theme and many contributors. I have provided information that is specific to each release. I shortened the section previously based on Spintendo's first response to my request.

Appropriate content edit
(invited at project:music) I took a quick look at the large deletions which were of large additions. IMO in general, much of that material looked appropriate and the normal type of material that should go into such an article. But may I suggest splitting additions it up into smaller additions per edit. Such huge edits makes it difficult / impossible for persons with normal time constraints to review the additions / changes which can cause concerns and issues. I have given the latest draft in User:Maartenbousie/sandbox/draft and addressed the questions on the references without page numbers or format issues. Where appropriate, new references were substituted (where no page numbers on previous references were available), formatting of references were also made where needed. In 1979, Emmer joined Minny Pops, an avant-garde post-punk band central to the Dutch Ultra[1] movement,[2] and co-founded Vinyl,[3] a music magazine launched in 1981.[4][1] In January 1980, Minny Pops opened for Joy Division and were subsequently signed by Factory Records.[5][6] In 1981, they recorded their first single for Factory, Dolphin's Spurt, with Joy Division producer Martin Hannett.[7][8] The first Dutch band to do a Peel Session,[9] Minny Pops toured the UK several times; Emmer, who had joined the band as a guitarist, performed and recorded on both guitar and bass guitar on the album "Drastic Measures, Drastic Movement".[10] He also hosted and produced radio programs for the Dutch broadcasting organization VPRO, including Radionome, which aired experimental music and live in-studio performances.[11] Emmer's music was included on Radionome compilation albums issued by VPRO.[12] In 1982, Emmer recorded Vogue Estate, a soundtrack for an imaginary film.[13] Although mainly an instrumental, it included two songs with vocals: "Wish On" with Billy MacKenzie (of The Associates) and "Never Share" with Martha Ladley (from Martha and the Muffins).[14] Michael Dempsey, formerly of The Cure, played bass on Vogue Estate,[15] which was produced by Emmer with Flood.[16] Emmer also performed with the Associates in 1982. In 1984, with Dempsey, he joined The Lotus Eaters.[17]
