Faction Advantages?

edit

Would it be a good idea to put in the different advantages and disadvantages of each of the factions in the game? I'll add them if anybody thinks it's a good idea. --EdsGodma 12:42, 16 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

That may violate WP:NOT in that it would be turning the article into a strategy guide. A prose section on the basic gameplay is usually good practice — remember to word it as "the player" in lieu of "you". — Deckiller 15:30, 16 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unit list

edit

I think it would be better as prose than a list of the units, as it has less encyclopedic value just as a list. Richard001 08:39, 9 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

edit

This article would be better with pictures of gameplay.

The policy applied to this case is WP:EL, as well as WP:NOT. According to WP:NOT#DIR, external links in Wikipedia articles should not contain links to loosely related sites. Links should be official sites where possible, and not to fan sites or resource sites. Additionally, WP:EL#Links_normally_to_be_avoided states that open wikis should not be linked to unless they have a proven history of stability, which the Battlegrounds wiki has not established.

Wiki project age of kings?

edit

Since this is from the engine of said game, it might be part of the project. I have no idea who to ask of even if I'm missing something giant. Feel free to revert this. 216.68.222.86 (talk) 21:12, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please discuss these points before reverting. --Scottie_theNerd 12:56, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The "Clone Campaigns"

edit

I admire that the article is fine but since their is no article on its expansion, I feel this is very short on information while the Galactic Battlegrounds is well defined already. I just wish that you could add more info from Gamespot or from other sources if you have the strength. If you do that than it's settled that I don't always have to go to the main (or official) site to find out about the expansion. I'd appreciate it if you expand on my idea. Maybe not now but in a comfortable time to do it. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 13:58, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Soundtrack for the game

edit

I think it would be a good idea to list the songs from the soundtrack of this game somewhere in the article. Even better would be to have which movie they were originally featured in. I myself have no idea what the songs are, but yeah, anyone agree? DAYKS11 (talk) 05:26, 11 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

The title of the game

edit

In the game documents, I 've found no traces of the that the game title is Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. Everywhere in the readmes it is titled as Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, without ":". Maybe the article should be renamed and bad(?) titles rewritten? Gubbubu 17:32, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Any admins to move this to the right title? There is a redirect to here and it should be deleted. Gubbubu 10:31, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Since 2012, nothing happened ... no single people are able to rename an article here ... well, congratulations! Gubbubu 18:51, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Linux Support

edit

The proof of linux support leads to the gog site, where only windows is listed as an supported platform. So there is no proof of linux support. Any other sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NoYzE (talkcontribs) 13:42, 13 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Expanding Fronts

edit

There's a huge and profesionally mod called Expanding Fronts that (so far) adds the Zann Consortium, the Geonosians, the First Order and the Resistance to the game each with their own buildsets and unit rosters, together with countless new units and technologies, bug fixes and graphics and game mechanic updates. Even though it's technically "fan content", what it contains is to a large degree legends/canon material. I really think it should be at least mentioned in the article. It's absolutely relevant and useful information for people interested in the game.
I thought of adding: "In March, 2016 the first full version of the mod Expanding Fronts was published which since has added four new complete civilizations with unique buildsets and unit rosters (and updates the existing Confederacy civilization to fit post-RotS visuals), four new shared units (and countless more for the in-game editor), 24 new technologies, and 61 new random maps to the game along with many bug fixes and gameplay tweaks."
And maybe, if possible, a section below with some more details about the basic changes and additions. Full disclosure, I have been helping the EF team with bug fixing, though am not part of the team myself.

If there are no reasonable objections by a week from now, I will procede with adding a mention to the article. 190.101.227.193 (talk) 20:30, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
