This is my first page, so bear with me. It needs serious expansion on the findings and effects sections. It needs more references to bring those about, and probably someone actually parsing more of the report itself. I'd like to eventually remove the quotes. I would like to see http://profiles.nlm.nih.gov/NN/B/C/X/B/_/nnbcxb_.jpg get put on it, but I haven't yet gotten to how to upload media. It needs categorization. It needs to get linked. Thanks for your help. Somedaypilot (talk) 05:30, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Great start! Added some categories, but they somewhat hide the external link, can't fix it.Baltshazzar (talk) 10:49, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well crud, somehow I moved one citation and another one threw up a ref tag error. I can't see why, the tag is there and correct, and I didn't touch that ref anyway. Once get it figured out I want to add http://www.plosmedicine.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pmed.1000216 for the statistics on cold turkey. A long time ago I posted this RFF: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_feedback/2010_November_11#Smoking_and_Health:_Report_of_the_Advisory_Committee_to_the_Surgeon_General_of_the_United_States. Many of the concerns there are still valid, though I see that there has been quite a bit of improvement over the years. Somedaypilot (talk) 00:54, 14 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I believe the correct date for this is July 12, 1957 http://www.abajournal.com/magazine/article/july_12_1957_surgeon_general_links_smoking_and_lung_cancer https://biotech.law.lsu.edu/cases/tobacco/nnbbmq.pdf Thisdaytrivia (talk) 06:37, 11 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
