Flights for Alaska Airlines edit

Starting in May, SkyWest will operate flights for Alaska Airlines to replace Horizon flights on a few routes. (I don't know many details on aircraft or routes)

Do you have a source for this? I'm trying to find one, but can't. Jhunt47 (talk) 04:15, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Can we remove the "request for verification box" in the history section? edit

a number of sources have been added, think the "This section needs additional citations for verification" can be removed for the history section?

i think it may need a more coherent re-write but most sentences now have sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Another user hawk (talkcontribs) 22:52, 10 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I don't think so, there is still a paragraph that's uncited and also a {{citation needed}} tag or two. So the {{refimprove}} tag still should be there. —Compdude123 (talk) 17:51, 12 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Painfully obvious that SkyWest has become a "National" airline edit

For those who care enough to address it in the article, According to Business Dictionary, the definition of a "National Carrier" is any carrier whose revenue falls between $100MM and $1Billion annually (http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/national-carrier.html). Well according to their own profit and loss statement,(http://inc.skywest.com/invest/investor_releases/SKYW%20Earnings%202Q11v%202%20%282%29.pdf) as of August 2011 they generated just short of $1 Billion in one quarter alone. Further, I was just at an event where SkyWest brass spoke. They are touting themselves as a "National" carrier now. Don't mistake the equipment that they are using (Canadair Regional Jets) for the fact that their route structure spans the enitre lower 48, plus Alaska now. I could care less as to how it's presented in this article, if at all, but I figured it was worth mentioning. --XB70Valyrie (talk) 03:52, 21 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

jacdec - misleading information edit

The methodology of the JACDEC so called "safety rating" is poor at best and media articles have been adjusted/withdrawn due to this. http://crankyflier.com/2013/01/29/a-terrible-way-to-rank-airline-safety/ http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/gallery?section=news/consumer&id=8967548&photo=1

Adding misleading information creates no value. If necessary any addition should reflect a balanced discussion.

Fleet edit by YSSYguy edit

Greetings, YSSYguy. Your last edit may have removed the entire Alaska CRJ700 line but it also moved columns meant for active fleet data over to the 'order' column. AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 19:21, 3 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Someone else has fixed it - children, this is a message from your uncle YSSYguy: don't edit tired. YSSYguy (talk) 23:22, 3 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Delete Crew Bases? edit

Listing where the airline bases its crew doesn't add much. Do we need to say where they have avgas tanks, too? I'd recommend cutting. Any objections? GetSomeUtah (talk) 18:36, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Mitsubishi Regional Jet edit

According to Mitsubishi Regional Jet page[1] There are orders for 100 of the MRJ90, with 100 options. That should be added to this page. EdHayes3 (talk) 23:58, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Business trend error edit

It has revenue before tax as 23 (2016) when the year before it was in the mid to high 100s then the following year in the mid 200s. I feel like 230 should be 230. Huskermax5 (talk) 08:24, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
