About Me

edit

Hi, welcome to Compdude123's page.

I like airplanes, maps, ferries, and designing highways, and when I was active here, I often edited airplane-related Wikipedia articles. But the main focus of my edits were on airline articles. My hope was to one day get at least one up to featured article status because there are (gasp) no FA-class airline articles on Wikipedia. Maybe that will change some day.

In December 2012, I became interested in ferries, especially since I live near the third-largest ferry system in the world. So I also occasionally edited articles about ferries, mainly those of WSF, BC Ferries, and AMHS.

However, as of September 2014, I am not really active on Wikipedia anymore as I have moved on to other things. I have now gotten interested in SimCity 4 again and am active in that community and having fun with all the mods that make it essentially a new game. I hadn't played the game from late-2011 to February 2014. That being said, I'm not really interested in editing Wikipedia anymore, but of course I may make an occasional edit here and there when I'm just browsing and find something that obviously needs to be fixed. I plan to become a civil engineer and have drawn made-up cities on paper my entire life, which explains my interest in a city-building game like SC4.

Sorry if you miss me, but I've really moved on from Wikipedia. After all, making fictional cities has always been something I've enjoyed.

  • Concorde was designed in the late 1950s/early 1960s and when it was retired in 2003 it still made every other airliner look like a piece of antiquated junk./ ...and today in 2011, it still does. —Posted on the Concorde talk page (Go read the whole comment by this IP user)
  • Um, the [Airbus A350] hasn't been built yet, it has not flown yet, it has not entered airline service, it has not been covered that greatly compared to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner[...], it is not as ground-breaking as the B787, it is not iconic.Sp33dyphil (talk · contribs) on Airbus A350 Talk page
