Hello, I am Shauna de Cartier. I recently discovered that there is a Wikipedia page about me! But it is listed under my maiden name, Shauna Thomas, which I haven't used since 1994. My legal name is Shauna de Cartier. I am requesting that the page be called Shauna de Cartier, and that the beginning of the first line reads:

Shauna de Cartier (née Shauna Thomas, born August 9, 1966),...

Thank you,

Shauna — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.230.59.174 (talk) 21:16, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

  1. Any request to change an article's title needs to be submitted using {{requested move}} specifically as a controversial move request process requiring discussion amongst the wider community.
  2. Before that process can begin, Wikipedia needs to be assured that you are the Shauna Thomas who is requesting this change. Since you are using an anonymous IP to make this request, it has been suggested that you first create a registered Wikipedia account, and then use that registered account to confirm your identity to Wikipedia through the Open-source Ticket Request System, or OTRS. By going to the following link at Wikipedia:Contact OTRS you will see an email address (info-en@wikimedia.org) which you can use to identify yourself to Wikipedia. In your email to them, please describe the situation (who you are, and the article that this is concerning) and that you would like to confirm your identity by offering proof that you are the Shauna Thomas whom the article is about. Once this email is sent, you should receive a reply with further instructions. After you have been confirmed, you may begin the requested move process, which takes about 7 days to complete. If you have any problems or additional questions about this process please make your queries at the WP:HELPDESK or let me or another editor know. Thank you!  Spintendo  22:38, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
