Is the publisher section necessary for the Sega Forever games table?

Seeing as this is a first party Sega service, is it really necessary to add a publisher section, seeing as every game released so far is first party to Sega? I can understand crediting the developers, because there were far more internal departments and external developers involved with the making of the original software, but is crediting the publisher really required? It doesn't matter to me. I initially added it because Sega said third party games (from Sega systems) could potentially happen someday, but we can wait and discuss adding that if/when that ever happens too. Sergecross73 msg me 23:11, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

I say we should remove for now since there are currently no games not published by Sega for this service. If that changes we can quickly and uncontroversially redo the section.--67.68.209.166 (talk) 05:22, 13 July 2017 (UTC)

Fair enough, it's just that the guaranteed first party titles outweigh the potential third party titles that could potentially make it, hence the questioning of the section. Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 09:44, 13 July 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, its fine, I don't feel strongly about it. More than anything, it was just set up this way more because I based it around the formatting of a similar list from an article I created in the past, just as a starting point. Sergecross73 msg me 12:28, 13 July 2017 (UTC)

No question that it's Ristar. Personally, I think the table should only be updated with every new Sega Forever game once they're available for download on iOS/Android. Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 16:22, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

Yup, and now it's been confirmed, and it is out (I played it last night) so I've added it. I personally don't mind adding titles not made available yet, as long as they're officially confirmed, but its mostly a non-issue anyways. Service vs. collection

The last IP user claimed there was no source stating it is a service nor has it ever claimed to be, which is false since I found three ones via a quick Google search. I'm not arguing that Sega Forever isn't a game collection, because it is, but it is also a (mobile) service that provides that, not a retail product or bundle akin to the Master Chief Collection or something similar. ~ Dissident93 ^(talk) 09:16, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

Indeed. It’s a bit hard to define really, but many sources described it as a service when I created the article, so that’s why that terminology is originally there. Sergecross73 msg me 14:47, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
