This article needs to be objectified. There are way too many personal opinions floating about.
Agreed. It's fairly important in the band repertoire, and I hate to see it so messy and POV. Badgerzilla (talk) 04:41, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- I made some major edits to try and fix POV. Please adjust it as necessary. Justin Tokke (talk) 06:09, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Blacksmith edit
Is this song REALLY "A Blacksmith Courted Me"? I know there are citations, but "A Blacksmith Courted Me" is a song that's very easy to find at least 10 recordings of, and I'm having a hard time convincing myself that it's the same song I'm hearing in this piece. To summarize:
- The tune seems to be different
- The words don't seem to match this piece, rhythmically
- The Wikipedia article for "Courted" says that it is not to be confused with this song.
I've noticed that Holst also set that song for chorale in a different piece, so I'm wondering if there is some confusion among the community. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.214.44.114 (talk) 00:50, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
Dargason edit
I strongly suspect the Irish monster story is the fabrication of a whimsical editor. The dwarf or fairy derivation seems to be on firmer ground, though. Anyone in a position to investigate this? Koro Neil (talk) 03:42, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
