Full Name - Sandy Cheeks
Why does this article's title need to include "(character)"? Is there another meaning of Sandy Cheeks that I'm not familiar with? RickK 02:03 26 Jun 2003 (UTC)
- I doubt it. If you come across similar examples in the future, just move them. -- Oliver P. 14:27, 16 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Sandy Has A Brother?
I was not aware of this, can a source be provided? —the preceding comment is by 68.193.103.52 - 01:10, 23 January 2006: Please sign your posts!
I've seen every episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, and no episode said that Sandy has a brother. --209.244.31.37 05:21, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Another Squrrel Rumor
Wikipedia Sandy Cheeks article says there is another squrrel moving into Bikini Bottom in Trivia —the preceding comment is by 71.224.104.255 - 19:48, 22 May 2006: Please sign your posts!
- That's vandalism. -AMK152 15:42, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
How old is Sandy, does the show ever mention her age or her birthday?--Atlantima 13:53, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Anyone Notice Anything Similar?
In the episode of Fairly OddParents "Most Wanted Wish", Timmy had a transporter to Texas as well as Sandy does. Shouldn't that be noted?
The AGENCY
There is this cool web comic out called The AGENCY. This has quite a bit of different animated characters from different universes, and one of the characters is Sandy Cheeks, herself! Maybe we could create a Wikipedia page about this web comic; You guys have to read it first, though (I've already read through it all) at the point I've written this). To read the comic, look for JediAnn Solo on Drunk Duck Webcomics. Add to this section if you are ready to create a new page! Strength
There should be a section added about Sandy's strength. Son of Kong
Best friend?
The article states that Sandy is SpongeBob's best friend. But I always thought Patrick was SpongeBob's best friend. "Hey, Patrick, did you know that you're my best friend in Bikini Bottom?" ~SpongeBob. --72.4.52.82 18:35, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Your right. Sandy is Spongebob's third best friend (the first two are Patrick and Squidward). Spongebob is Sandy's best friend (her second best friend is Patrick). --Hoppybunny (talk) 04:59, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
Self-contradictory statement
- Sandy has never even officially met Pearl before, yet Pearl was at the party in the episode, "Texas". This statement is untrue, see episode Party Pooper Pants,Band Geeks and Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy VI: The Motion Picture where she meet Pearl and even talk to her.
Some people don't realize that the discussion section is there for a reason... :P - Stormwatch 01:59, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Was she really dressed as Beatrix Kiddo in 'Karate Island'?
Under the Cultural References heading, it says:
Sandy was dressed as Beatrix Kiddo, the Bride from Kill Bill, in the episode "Karate Island".
Is this what someone just supposed the reference was to, or has someone working on the show said this? I ask because the suit in Kill Bill was itself a reference to what Bruce Lee wore in Game of Death. Perhaps the reference was actually to that earlier movie.
Better picture
Maybe we should find another picture for Sandy's profile. The one displayed doesn't come out very well, as can be seen. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by CBFan (talk • contribs) 23:14, 7 February 2007 (UTC).
Yeah, I agree. --209.244.31.37 05:21, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Peer Review
The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.
- Please expand the lead to conform with guidelines at Wikipedia:Lead. The article should have an appropriate number of paragraphs as is shown on WP:LEAD, and should adequately summarize the article.[?]
- Per Wikipedia:Context and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates), months and days of the week generally should not be linked. Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article.[?]
- See if possible if there is a free use image that can go on the top right corner of this article.[?]
- There may be an applicable infobox for this article. For example, see Template:Infobox Biography, Template:Infobox School, or Template:Infobox City.[?] (Note that there might not be an applicable infobox; remember that these suggestions are not generated manually)
- Generally, trivia sections are looked down upon; please either remove the trivia section or incorporate any important facts into the rest of the article.[?]
- Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
- While additive terms like “also”, “in addition”, “additionally”, “moreover”, and “furthermore” may sometimes be useful, overusing them when they aren't necessary can instead detract from the brilliancy of the article. This article has 11 additive terms, a bit too much.
- Avoid using contractions like (outside of quotations): can't.
- This article needs footnotes, preferably in the cite.php format recommended by WP:WIAFA. Simply, enclose inline citations, with WP:CITE or WP:CITE/ES information, with <ref>THE FOOTNOTE</ref>. At the bottom of the article, in a section named “References” or “Footnotes”, add
<div class="references-small"><references/></div>
.[?] - The article will need references. See WP:CITE and WP:V for more information.[?]
- Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.[?]

- Use the standard {{Reflist|2}} instead when notes/references are given. The refs come out mucho better in that standard template. ~I'm anonymous
Can somebody explain that category? Does she really have superhuman strength? Or is this a joke that implies the ignorance of physical law in the show? ~I'm anonymous
Fair use rationale for Image:Sandy cheeks.png
Image:Sandy cheeks.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Proposed Cleanup
I have proposed a massive cutting down of the Spongebob series of articles at the WikiProject talk page. No one responded, and since silence equals consensus, I shall be performing my proposal soon. I am leaving this notice on every page that would be affected, as to make sure enough people would be informed. If you have anything to add, feel free to do so. sbfw | talk 03:56, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Category: Fictional African-American people
The category Fictional African-American people has been added. Can anybody say whether they feel this is correct or not? It seems incorrect to me to use that category for a character that is not a person but a squirrel. Also there is nothing in the article to indicate that she is depicted as African-American. --DanielRigal (talk) 17:09, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
- I agree. Silly category for a fictional squirrel. That should only apply to people. Jhenderson 777 17:14, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
- She's from Texas (depending on the episode, it can be a major aspect of her character). She is almost certainly not african-american. Harry Blue5 (talk) 22:52, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
There aren't any African American people in Texas? Based on her vernacular, and different points on episodes, I came to this conclusion. Sinfully Wickid (talk) 08:05, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining that. I can see why you might think that the category is appropriate but it isn't. First up, we have a rule against original research, which basically means anything you worked out for yourself. Also the category is only for fictional people. This character is not a person. To extend the category to non-human characters that merely sound African American is silly. Not all African American people have the same way of talking and a lot of other people use African American vernacular to some extent. --DanielRigal (talk) 12:14, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
"Sandy Squirrel"
In the episode "Spongebob's Last Stand", Sandy is referred to as Sandy Squirrel, and has not been referred to by first and last name since. This may mean that the creator's changed the last name, due to the fact that the name is "suggestive". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.63.43.27 (talk) 14:37, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
third tritagonist ?
It may be that I misunderstand Tritagonist completely, but I do not think that Sandy qualifies as one. Moreover a "third tritagonist" to me seems a tautology. Please, someone in the know / a native speaker check this. Pardon my German (Fiiiisch!) (talk) 12:44, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Well Spongebob, Patrick, Mr.Krabs and Squidward all have larger roles and are in more episodes. She's the 5th most important character, hardly a Tritagonist. Mrmoustache14 (talk) 22:38, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
