eSports and news edit

Is SK Gaming a gaming news organization that fields several eSports teams or a collection of eSports teams that has a website which also contains news? My outside perception is that Schroet Kommando started as a team, but that their business model is now that of a gaming news site, popularized by the success of its eSports teams. (Reminds me of early NBA teams, like the Fort Wayne Pistons, which played for a General Motors subsidiary that produced piston parts.) --Habap 16:11, 2 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

SK is just the biggest clan organization. they have the best unreal tournament squad since the 'Respawn killer' broken. they have the best fifa squad with the german fifa twins H3ro and St!ler. one of the best warcraft squads and one of the best counter strike squad. so SK is one of the biggest clans all other the world with many squads.

Merge edit

No reason given. I think it's a foolish idea by someone on a campaign to eliminate articles on gaming personalities and groups. --Habap 14:57, 27 December 2005 (UTC) I see no reason to merge. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 00:41, 28 December 2005 (UTC) I also see no reason to merge it because Kyle "Ksharp" Miller is a separate article from Team 3D, etc. Andrew Shen 00:27, 9 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

SK Gaming or Schroet Kommando? edit

Schroet Kommando have placed in the top 3 the following at major international tournaments:

If the organization is now called SK Gaming shouldn't it written as "SK Gaming have place..."?-Credema 19:51, 23 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

SK Gaming = The whole clan organisation with all squads. Schroet Kommando was the old name when they were just a CS clan.

Trivia needed at all? edit

I just cleaned up the "Trivia" section. Do we really need it? In my eyes, most of the information given there is useless, except the first one (football reference) which could be moved to Andreas Thorstensson.

History edit

I think its a bit stupid to always remove the history of SK, like three brothers started it, one became owner of the ESL and overall it was a friendship clan which evolved to what it is now.

Same goes for the success, SK was well known worldwide in 1999 to 2001 for their Quakeworld and Quake 3 success

I think it's important, that the minority stake holder and SK founder Ralf "Griff" Reichert is shareholder and Head of the Turtle Entertainment GmbH, the company behind the Electronic Sports League (ESL), today. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ChRitter (talkcontribs) 18:32, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Encyclopedia worthy? edit

Is all this stuff in there even worthy of being here? Like who cares about who are the members of this thing? I really don't see how this deserves an article this long, if at all. It's written like their own website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.232.189.4 (talk) 23:45, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would say the article itself is worth being here. In the E-Sports community they have been a powerful force for a long time. Their latest accomplishments in WoW have been widely publicized by the community. Don't forget that the game is played by 11 million people and this is arguably the most recognized guild. Brent A. Woodle (talk) 16:52, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Brevity edit

This article is really long-winded and I'm not sure a history this detailed is necessary. I added some sub-headers for the history section to make it less like a wall of text. Googlypoo (talk) 00:21, 5 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

SK Gaming has not been an organization in SMITE for some time now, either change the roster to former and add Rait "Epindary" Varatu of Estonia, or remove it entirely. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.56.226.25 (talk) 19:32, 23 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Current Counter Strike team according to wikipedia: *   Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo[1][2]

The information should be updated to this since SK gaming has dropped fnx and currently play with "fox": *   Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo[3][4]

I want to do some small changes to the SK Gaming Wikipedia Site, as i´m currently working for them. First of all change to the current Sponsors which are Visa, Intel, Razer, HyperX, Medion, Skinsjar, Honor and Mountain Dew. Secondly delete the Game "World of Warcraft" as its no longer a part of the Organisation (source - http://www.sk-gaming.com/team). Furthermore someone need to change the text "SK currently has players and teams competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, World of Warcraft, and Vainglory". Again delete WoW out of it. JonathanSK (talk) 11:08, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

ESforce are held of 66% in SK Gaming shares edit

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately my account is not confirmed yet, so would be great if someone can help me to make one note in the article. In 2016 eSport holding ESforce purchased 66% of outstanding shares in SK Gaming. [1] Can someone, please add this note in the article? Thanks. Pavel.hfhf (talk) 08:24, 31 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please change SK Gaming's Counter-Strike:Global Offensive Team roster from "felps" - Joao Vasconcellos to "boltz" - Ricardo Prass as he is now a permanent member of their CS:GO team, and felps is inactive.

Done I used a different link to support the changes to fill the 'date' column. However, I was not able to find any reliable sources to change the 'role' column so I left it as it is. Any input on if it should be updated or removed? Jiten talk contribs 08:49, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

SK Gaming Logo Rebrand edit

Hello,

The SK Gaming logo has been updated at the end of 2022 and as most people are relying on Wikipedia to download it, it would be much appreciated if it could be updated.

You can find it on the official SK Gaming website at sk-gaming.com/brand-kit or even on Wikimedia commons: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:SK_Gaming_Logo_2022.svg 188.153.26.21 (talk) 14:53, 16 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
