Bloopers

The article says that an episode of Reading Rainbow is the only authorized airing of TNG bloopers. But if I remember correctly there was a Star Trek special aired in 1999 with Jason Alexander that showed TNG bloopers. Can anyone confirm that? --Quietpeoplerock 22:51, August 3, 2006 (UTC)

LeVar Leaving

LeVar Burton spoke at Penn State on Monday 29-January-07 where he stated that the new company in charge of Reading Rainbow had differing views of how the series should proceed. He went on to inform us that he was leaving the show and had already shot the last episode. I don't know whether thats enough of a source for somebody to change the article or if you need more. 0900, January 31, 2007

The logo is fair use as if you check where the funding comes from mostly public funds. Wikipedia is indeed a not for profit and for educational purposes which is a perfect application of fair use. Landerman56 00:39, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

About the two logos

Shouldn't it be 2000-2007? Because the older logo was still used prior to 2000.

No new episodes??

This article says things that imply there are no new episodes for 2008; however, there's no asterisk next to this show's name in the PBS Kids template. What does this mean?? Georgia guy (talk) 16:03, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Statement re: Q210 reintroduction

The following statement has been re-added to the article by three different users:

On February 16, 2009 Reading Rainbow began production and will re-air on PBS starting in the second quarter of 2010.

Each addition has been identical, and with no source. Without a reliable (or any) source, it's especially suspect, even more due to LeVar Burton's official tweet (in March 2010) that RR2 is "in the works". It's highly doubtable that something in production for over a year would only now be revealed to the public. What is the motivation behind the addition of this unsourced line to the article? What Happened to the App?

I know that there had been a Reading Rainbow iPad app, but I hadn't known about it until today. There were links to get it on both its own website and on the iTunes website, but both caused iTunes to say that it wasn't available in the US store. The following statement is misleading: "The concept of a reading series for children originated with Twila Liggett, Ph.D., and Paul Schupbach (director), of the Great Plains National Instructional Television Library at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln; and Tony Buttino, of WNED-TV Buffalo, New York. The original team included Lynne Brenner Ganek, Ellen Schecter, and host LeVar Burton." That's true of the concept for this particular reading series, but there are earlier ones. The Third Intro

PBS KIDS GO!

Reading Rainbow was not a program that fell within the PBS KIDS GO! brand. Some local stations may have scheduled the show near the GO! block during the afternoon lineup, but the show was never a formal addition to the block itself. Any mention of Reading Rainbow being broadcast on PBS KIDS GO! should be removed from the article. Itspeeebs (talk) 19:41, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
