This could be incorporated into Prince (musician)#Illness and death with selected quotes from the most notable people. Comments about Wikipedia's notability standards are also inappropriate for the top section of an encyclopedia article. Anonymous 02:52, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

How is this an article? 123.51.113.90 (talk) 03:09, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

This shouldn't be a separate article. KyuuA4 (Talk:キュウ) 03:19, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
@KyuuA4: I agree, it is a case of WP:TOOSOON. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 04:03, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I agree that this should not be its own article. Once more details about the circumstances surrounding his death are made public, this could be a section on a larger article about his death. Much like the section "Public Reaction" in the article covering Michael Jackson's death.

Much like the section "Public Reaction" in the article covering Michael Jackson's death. If Prince is given a whole article on his death, that means other pop icons deserve one too, like Whitney Houston and David Bowie or even Amy Winehouse

This isn't a memorial edit

The article needs to be reworked so that the info is in prose, not just quotes. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 03:52, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

May consider rename edit

I see that a few "Reactions of the death of ____" articles have been merged and moved to "Death of ____"

This might be a good idea after a thorough discussion. Whiskeymouth (talk) 04:07, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Death of Prince can still happen as long as it is thorough, encyclopedic and appears to be more than a memorial, like this page. — Wyliepedia 05:35, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
And any such article created will be (appropriately) nominated for deletion, as well. There's nothing notable about his death. Even if the autopsy and toxicology report comes back with something scandalous. Celebrities die every day, they don't get encyclopedia articles for doing something we all do eventually just because they are celebrities and it's been reported in the news media. -- WV 05:40, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I think this article and Death Of Prince should be deleted. Like the editor above stated, celebrities die everyday. 76.123.200.158 (talk) 22:10, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

The death of Michael Jackson was particularly notable because his doctor was convicted. That should be the standard '''tAD''' (talk) 12:58, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

This article is JUST edit

JUST awful. Awful!! Why does this need to be here? It's cluttering up the site with information nobody will ever need. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:641:200:2720:ACE7:45D3:13A2:CFDA (talk) 22:18, 24 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

There are many articles on wikipedia that people will never need: to wit, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.101.50.7 (talk) 23:49, 1 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
