edit

{{geodata-check}}

The following coordinate fixes are needed for Radcliffe Science Library

The current coordinates point at the Clarendon Lab/Physics department. The correct points are more like 51.757913 -1.256057

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Radcliffe Science Library. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Updates to this page

edit

I would like to request the following edits to this page. I am not able to do these myself due to a conflict of interest.

  1. Remove the words "although with a completely separate building" as this confuses the Bodleian Libraries (plural) with the Bodleian Library (singular).
  2. Remove the two sentences beginning "The library holds around a million items .." as these are now out of date.
  3. Replace the words "is now" with "became" in the sentence "The area which houses the Hooke Library collection is now part of the RSL ..." as this is due to change soon.
  4. Replace the third item under "The building" with the following text: "The Lankester Room and Main Stack, a two-storey extension under the lawn of the museum, built 1972-5. The Lankester Room was a large reading room of the library containing the book collection. The stack contained additional storage for library materials - readers did not have direct access to this, but can request items from it. The underground levels are now primarily used by Oxford University museums. Library materials not on the open shelves are now housed in the Bodleian Libraries' Book Storage Facility in Swindon."
  5. In File:Radcliffe Science Library Front Entrance.jpg|Entrance, add "2007" before "Entrance" as this will change during the upcoming development project.

   Edit request partially implemented

  • Please note that the numbers below coincide with the numbers in the edit request above.
  1.  Y This item was removed.
  2.  Y These two sentences were removed.
  3.  Y The requested words were replaced.
  4.  N These items from #4 were not completed.
    1. Replace the third item under "The building" does not state which "item" this is referring to.
    2. The Lankester Room and Main Stack, a two-storey extension under the lawn of the museum, built 1972-5 is an incomplete sentence.
    3. The Lankester Room was a large reading room of the library containing the book collection. This sentence states "the book collection" but does not mention which book collection.
    4. The stack contained additional storage for library materials - readers did not have direct access to this, but can request items from it. This sentence describes how extra storage was available for library materials and that readers who do not have direct access to it may request items — but does not specify whether the readers may request materials from storage or request that items be removed from storage.
    5. The underground levels are now primarily used by Oxford University museums. Library materials not on the open shelves are now housed in the Bodleian Libraries' Book Storage Facility in Swindon. These sentences cannot be implemented because they are not referenced and not phrased according to MOS:RELTIME.
  5.  N This item cannot be implemented because the proposed text 2007 Entrance describes an entrance for a date. Entrances are used by people rather than by periods of time. If the proposed text is meant to describe an entrance which was used by people during a specific period of time, then the proposed sentence should state The entrance used by patrons in 2007.

@Spintendo: I have added back the sentence you removed about Parks College as the request did not ask for it to be removed. It will need updating as the project evolves. TSventon (talk) 14:02, 30 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
