Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne → Queen Elizabeth II Metro Bridge – The bridge is in both Newcastle and Gateshead so the current title is inaccurate. The common name is "Metro Bridge" (or sometimes "Queen Elizabeth II Metro Bridge" or "QEII Metro Bridge") so this is a natural disambiguation and the article was previously at this title until moved without apparent discussion. An alternative name would be Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, River Tyne to match the nearby Swing Bridge, River Tyne. Thryduulf (talk) 10:57, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

  The point is that the geographical detail in the title is misleading and the article is not at the WP:COMMONNAME. Thryduulf (talk) 12:07, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

There is only one bridge over the Tyne named for Queen Elizabeth II, but one end of the bridge is in Newcastle and one end is in Gateshead. There are multiple other bridges named for the same monarch, and if there is a primary topic it's not this one, hence some disambiguation is needed. The natural disambiguation (and possible official name) with Metro is unambiguous as none of the similarly named bridges carry a metro or light rail system, let alone one called Metro.   Really nobody, other than Bridges on the Tyne, Newcastle University, Nexus, Chronicle, North East Heritage Library, and others that a 1 minute search on google didn't find. Thryduulf (talk) 15:36, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
