Port Royal Sound

edit

A lot of pages with links to Port Royal Sound linked here since there was no page for Port Royal Sound. So I made one and fixed the redirect and any other issues I could find. Just wanted to post here about it, so those watching this page know. Thanks. Pfly 19:30, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Port Royal was emphatically not founded by William Sayle in 1670. William Sayle founded Charleston in 1670; Port Royal was not settled until some time later, and the town of Port Royal was not founded until after the Civil War. This really needs to change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rcharlesholmes (talkcontribs) 05:28, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I don't see where in this article it says anything about William Sayle. Still, Port Royal was an important settlement of the late 17th century. It is possible there is a distinction and perhaps confusion between the early Port Royal "district" or "region" and the later town of Port Royal. Pfly (talk) 07:26, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

You don't see anything about William Sayle because I took the liberty of changing the article. I'm not a prolific editor, so I thought I would explain the change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rcharlesholmes (talkcontribs) 04:25, 26 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
