IMHO, the Poietic Generator should be at least part of the history of the telematic art, Net.art and Mbone.

Unfortunately, telematic art may have been written by a groupie of Roy Ascott who was ignoring the french side of the history, i.e. the experiments allowed by the french Minitel system, during the 80', ten years before the web... As mentionned in reference #48 http://poietic-generator.net/PICS/lettres/ascott.gif note that Roy Ascott himself is aware of the french side of the history and gave his support to a PG experiment.
